Postal Registration & Insurance

Why you should choose to register and insure your order:

Effective 1 November 2004, after having had several parcels lost in the mail, it is recommended that all orders over $50.00 be sent by registered mail (additional $2.75).

Orders valued over $100 should be sent by registered mail with additional insurance purchased at the rate of $1.25 per every $100 value, or part thereof, over the first $100 value.

Please Note:
If a parcel that has been sent by ordinary post becomes lost, or damaged in transit, Australia Post will only refund $50.00.
Therefore, if you do not choose to have your parcel sent by registered post, with additional insurance where appropriate, Always Quilting will only be able to arrange a refund, or replacement, to the value of $50.00 for goods that are declared lost in transit by the Customer Service department of Australia Post.

The Purchase of Postal Registration and Insurance on this page is only applicable to parcels being posted to addresses within Australia.

The cost of insurance for International orders will be notified to you by email and will be applied to your order upon receipt of your acceptance of the rate.

Australia Post Registration automatically insures your parcel to the value of $100.

However, if your order totals to more than $100 additional insurance should be purchased.

If you do not require insurance go to the bottom of the page to confirm your order.

Note that it is not possible to purchase Insurance from Australia Post without first purchasing Parcel Registration.

In the quantity box enter 1 unit per each additional $100, or part thereof, insurance required.

eg:

If your order value is $150 you will need to enter "1" to purchase $100 worth of insurance to cover the additional $50 over and above the insurance covered by the Postal Registration

If your order value is $250 you will need to enter "2" to purchase $200 worth of insurance to cover the additional $150 over and above the insurance covered by the Postal Registration
