Looking for that virtual bubble wrap?
A Website where you can list your quilts for sale 888888 As patchworkers we are aware that the appearance of a colour is relative. By this I mean that is the depth of one colour can be changed by the depth of the other colours that are nearby. WE use this principle each time we select our "light", medium" & "dark" fabrics to create our designEach colour also has a complementary colour. If you concentrate on one colour for a long time you will often see the complementary colour, as an after image, when you look away The website below is a fun example of this effect. http://www.patmedia.net/marklevinson/cool/cool_illusion.html
Have you run out of reasons for making quilts? Not that I think you need a reason to make a quilt, other than the joy of creating something out of fabric, but so often our non quilting friends will ask: "Why are you making ... ?" or "Who is it for...?" If you feel you should have a charitable response to these questions then you might be interested in the flyer that appeared in my letterbox recently. Please note that I have no connection with this service so, if you decide to help, it is your responsibility to confirm for yourself that it is a genuine charitable service with which you wish to become involved.
If you are interested in making and donating a quilt to this cause you can find out more about the service on the website: http://www.inspirationalquilts.com.au
