This delightful Woodlands Creatures appliqué design by Rosemary Makhan (http://www.quiltsbyrosemary.com) has been available as a block of the month quilt from many patchwork shops for quite some time.

In fact Sally S., of Melbourne, worked on her quilt, below, for more than 12 months and I was thrilled to have the opportunity to quilt this delightful top.

I used the designer's whimsical appliqué designs and Sally's fabric selection as inspiration to develop a quilting plan that incorporates, leaves and woodland creatures in a landscape meander.

Click on the images for a closer view.

You will find that the image will split when you click to view the enlarged view as I couldn't capture the full quilt in one photo so I have cut & pasted 2 images together to display it here.

The fabrics below appear washed out because the clips have been lightened to reveal the quilt stitching.
