Having lived for many years in an area that had limited shopping facilities I understand the issues involved in shopping by mail order.

If you send me a photograph of your quilt and include the measurements, I can advise you as to potential quilting options and estimated costs.

Prior to commencing any work on the quilt I will send  you 2 - 3 detailed written quotes, including illustrations, so that you can confirm your preferred quilting style.

I have many mail order clients from all areas of Australia and I always try to give them the same quality of service as is received by my face to face clients.

Procedure for the Delivery of a Quilt to Always Quilting:

  • I ask that quilts be delivered to me 2 -3 weeks prior to the scheduled booking date to allow time for a firm quote & quilting plan to be prepared for your approval.

  • I recommend that you send the quilt to me in "Post Preferred" packaging, sized to hold the quilt on return eg: a GL Tough Bag will hold a finished quilt up to a queen size bed topper.

  • Always wrap the quilt securely inside a plastic bag before inserting it into the postal packaging. Upon receipt, I will remove the quilt and hang it for storage.

  • Please advise me of the date that the quilt is posted so that I know to expect it's arrival.

  • It is recommended that you insure your quilt when shipping. I carry insurance, limited to the value of fabrics, while the quilt is in my care.

Procedure for the Return of Quilts:

  • If you are unable to collect your finished quilt in person, it will be returned by Australia Post.

  • Postage & packing charges are at cost.

  • I recommend that it be returned to you by registered mail which includes insurance cover to the value of $100. Australia Post charges $2.70 in addition to normal parcel rates for this service.

  • Additional Insurance is available on registered mail at
Australia Post rates  for $1.25 / additional $100 or part thereof.

  • You will be advised of the date that your quilt was posted so that you will know to expect it's arrival.

* Australia Post rates are accurate as of July 2008 and will change whenever Australia Post updates their postal rates.

When you are ready to send your quilt to "Always Quilting" you can go to the Australia Post site for more information about postal rates.
